On 27 October 2011 MPWiK S.A. signed an agreement to receive co-financing of the Project „Improvement of water and wastewater management in Wrocław – Stage III” No. POIS.01.01.00-00-207/10-00 under the Operational Programme Infrastructure and Environment, Priority Axis I – water and wastewater management, Action 1.1 – water and wastewater management in agglomerations with population more than 15 thousand PE.
Stage III is a follow-up to the Stage II of this Project.
The main purpose of the Project is a comprehensive arrangement of water and wastewater management in Wrocław, in accordance with principles of harmonious, balanced and sustainable development by gradually complying with the requirements defined by the Polish and EU environmental protection law and fulfilling accession commitments of Poland in the area of water and sewage management, i.e. satisfying the requirements of the Directives for drinking water – 98/63/WE, 75/440/EWG, 80/778/EWG, and the Directive 91/271/EWG concerning urban waste-water treatment.
Stage III covers the construction, development and modernisation of water supply and sewerage system in the city area of Wrocław.
On 28 June 2013 was signed an annex to the Project co-financing agreement with regard to authorisation for extension of the substantive scope of the Project, i.e. including into the Project 6 additional tasks in relation to the construction, development and modernisation of water supply and sewerage system in Wrocław.
On 4 December 2014 was signed a second annex to the Project co-financing agreement with regard to authorisation for further extension of the substantive scope of the Project, i.e. including into the Project 6 additional tasks in relation to the construction, development and modernisation of water supply and sewerage system in Wrocław.
The total value of the Project after the signature of the annexes amounts to 156 516 258,33 PLN.
The co-funding after the signature of the annexes amounts to 84 940 077,82 PLN, what represents 85 % of the total value of Project eligible expenses.
The Project is to be completed in 2015.
